_To the House of Representatives of the United States:_ I herewith transmit to the House of Representatives a report of the Secretary of State, with accompanying papers,[5a] in answer to its resolution of the 28th of March last. [Footnote 5a: Communications from the United States consul at Vienna.] WASHINGTON, _May 20, 1850_. _To the Senate of the United States:_ I transmit herewith reports from the Secretary of the Interior and Secretary of War, in reply to the resolution of the Senate of the 30th ultimo, calling for information in relation to the hostilities and outrages committed during the past year by the Seminole Indians in Florida, the steps taken for their removal west of the Mississippi, the area now occupied by them, etc. Z.
