Hildebrand, or Gregory VII. May ask, through the medium of your pages,
whether any authority can be found for terming Gregory VII. _the Great_, an epithet which I had previously considered to be confined to Gregory I.? EGENHART. _John Hill's Penny Post, in_ 1659.--I noted a few years back, from a bookseller's catalogue, the title of a work-- "Hill (John), a Penny-Post; or a vindication of the liberty of every Englishman in carrying Merchants' and other Men's letters against any restraints of farmers of such employments. 4to. 1659."
