[You may substitute for Burning Water best white wine, which also retains the powers of gold.] it were lost / And if it so be þat Èe haue not þis brennynge watir redy, þanne que{n}che Èoure floreyn in þe beste whiÈt wiyn þat may be had / For sikirly þe philosophore seiþ, þat wiyn hath also þe p{ro}pirtee to restreyne in it þe influence and v{er}tues of 8 gold / And whanne Èe haue do Èo{ur}e werk, Èe schal wite þat þe floreyn is als good, & almoost of þe same weiÈte, as it was afore / þerfore vse wiyn or bre{n}nynge watir giltid, so þ{a}t Èe may [This gilt Water will make you well and young again.
