of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of
me. 1 John 2:15. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Matt. 6:24. No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matt. 4:10. Thou shall worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Gen. 38:9. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? Ps. 139:1, 2. O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and my uprising, thou understandest my thoughts afar off. Rom. 8:15.
